Hudson Jack Pierce is some kind of wonderful!!!

I absolutely adore alllllll things HJP!!!:)

He is Janitor Hudson...

He is a cutie patooooty...

and always up to something!!!

He is funny...

even when he doesn't mean to be!

We have been working on our colors...

especially "blue" because he loves

to say "blooooo". We told him to go

into his room and bring us something BLUE.

He was SO PROUD when he came

running out to show us what he had found:

Clifford the Big RED Dog!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is an angel...

He LOVES trash days because he

gets to roll in the big trash cans! ;)

The kid seriously loves to clean!!!!!!!!!!!

He is goofy! He loves to get

right up in your face...and giggle

and say all sorts of things

that we can't understand yet!

Out of NOWHERE the kid

started going on the potty (sometimes)!!!!!!!!!!

But he insists you MUST see the proof...

every.single.time!!!!!!

If you don't, he brings it to YOU;)

He's a DIVA;))))))))

He loves ANY sort of ball...

lately his favorite is dribbling

(could have something to do with

attending Walker's basketball games!)...

He's actually really pretty good!!!

You can't leave this kid alone for

even a second! This particular afternoon,

Walker nonchalantly comes to tell me

that Hudson is in the bathroom shaving.

EXCUSE ME?!?

(At least it's better than applying

my expensive Lancome mascara!)

Doesn't get much better than that for Huds! ;)

The kid is almost always smiling...

even when he was sick, he would

always give me a 'smile' if I asked!

He loves to play dress-up with his sister!

He will do or wear anything she says!!!!!!!!!

Or as Haddie called him when she

was little, "Logolo".........

My kids absolutely ADORE Logan.

It's so cute!!!

He is amazing with them:)

Sadly, Logan experienced his first

heartbreak on his actual birthday :(

Mean girl!!!!!!!!!!! Better not show

her face to Aunt Mindy doing that on my

Log's birthday!!! ANYWAY...

we postponed his celebration a

few days and then all met

at Fuddrucker's like we always do! ;)

Her loss...because this guy is a CATCH!!!

He is so handsome, kind-hearted, very smart, and ....

FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fuddrucker's has always been our birthday

spot because my kids could run a little wild

(not that they're wild at all!)..................

And we can all move around and visit...

But now it is even more of our perfect spot

for birthdays because we can take turns eating

and hanging out with Travis on the couches.

This way he doesn't have to just sit

and watch us eat. :(

It's just so nice to have a true life living,
breathing MIRACLE in your presence anyways:)

I can't make it through a function without

Macy always spots it and zooms in on

We all love this miracle, too!

I can't help but always think of

my bestie Kimberly (& Blake) speeding

me back to Waco from Austin

where we had spent the weekend to

get me to Hillcrest Hospital in time

for Logan's birth. Kim literally had to

speed into the turn around and slam on

her brakes for me to jump out

(well, we kinda added some of that

for dramatic measure)...but I MADE it!:)

Another moment I'll never forget is

when Michelle let me drive Logan

as a very small baby down to Baylor

to my house (the Green Hizow).

I remember mostly Megan because

she had no idea even how to hold

him!!! Such a funny memory

since we are all mommies now:)

My life truly has been richer

and more blessed by being an aunt to

my three nephews and my niece.

Logan is a very special guy

and I love him with all my heart.

I pray for him and his future every single day.

Hudson's actual BIRTHday fell on

a Tuesday so he got to celebrate

with Mrs. Janice & Everett ...

Sweet Everett was sick and didn't

get to come to Hudson's party.

The very idea of him getting into

his best girl's make-up!!!!!!!! ;)

What a delightful little blessing to be

able to pick this little girl up from

school everyday. She is SO happy

to see me and I am even more

happy to see her. Thank you, Sweet Jesus!

8 1/2 size shoe;))))))))))

I can think of MANY things that I have

not done well as a mommy for my kids,

but one thing I am SO very proud of

is how my kids LOVE each other.

They are always so excited for

the other!!! Moments like these when

Haddie came out from dance
and Huddy was so happy to see
and hug her literally melt.my.heart!!!

got her for Christmas.

It's what Haddie wanted to wear

on her first day back to school

from the holidays! :)

because I feel like I have this man.
And it makes me smile even bigger

to think that Hadlee is getting to watch

her daddy be this man!

Just the other day Hadlee was playing

with her barbies in her room while

I was putting her clothes away.

I heard her have Ken say to

Barbie, "Here you go, sweetheart."

Walker comes out a few minutes

after Haddie and we do the whole

thing ALL over again...

This particular day it was a donut

from my trip to HEB...

SO HARD! This is Troy at

Dr. Graham's. He had insisted

that something was wrong with Hudson's

little package. ;) While there before

Dr. G even came in, Troy

realized there was not a single

thing in the world wrong with it!!!
He was dying and didn't want

to have to face Dr. Graham!!!!!!!!!!
The only good thing was that
we left there with Dr. G telling
us that Hudson has the best, most
perfect package he'd ever seen! ;)

This was one of those stop

and give thanks moments ~

I was at the grocery store

and all of the sudden

completely overcome with awe

at this beautiful little girl....

One day I told Hadlee to go get

ready because we needed to go

and feed Hunter & Lynna's dogs.

This is what she came out in........

Sick, Sicker & Sickest...

Unfortunately we had some

sick days in January...pretty much

one full week of YUCK!
(Unfortunately :( some of it came back
this last week & it was back to the dr. again)

Two raging ear infections, very high

fevers, throwing up, and icky coughs.

We had no other choice but to stay

home in our pj's and play games and rest...

Walker had febrile seizures when he was little...

three ambulance rides and one hospital stay

type seizures. :( Scary, scary times.

He still runs such high fevers when sick.

I'll always be fearful of fever!!!!!!!!

There was SOMETHING that made

allllllllllllll three of them feel

better. Somebody had dropped it

by on our door step........

Grandmother's sweet tea of course!!!!!!!

Hudsy was really the sickest...

God bless his heart. He runs high

fevers like his Bubba.

This was him with 104 and he still

kept trying to flash

me a little grin :)

He & Haddie just felt so awful. :(

This particular afternoon,

we had the hardest time getting

Baby Love's fever down.

But we did, and he was back to

his Happy Jack self!!! ;)

Not one, not two, but all three...

God love their little hearts....

Baby Love was throwing up so often

that he started carrying around

his own bowl and if we gave him

something to eat or drink,

he'd go into the kitchen to get a new

bowl. Poor guy had figured

out what was up! :(

He slept so much...

like the sweet, little angel he is!!!

Love this message...

I DO know

it (life) will be worth it.

Thankfully, I have Jesus in my

heart which gives me all the faith

and belief and love I could ever

need in this life!

Sweetest Prayers Ever

I have two precious little boys who

LOVE to say their nightly prayers.

It is quite possibly the sweetest

times I've ever known in my life.
I also have a sweet praying little girl, too.

She just happened to be in her

bed already asleep this particular night.

When we all lay down together

at night, Walker is always quick

to remind me...

"PRAY. Pray, Mommy, Pray"!

I.love.that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of this particular night,

I had layed down in the bed

with them and kinda had my back to Hudson

(most nights we lay with them and then

move whomever to their correct bed!).

I felt a little nudge on my arm and

I looked over to see this sweet, little

boy with his hands clasped

together. He may not can say

"pray" yet...but he most certainly let me

know that it was time to pray.

I thanked Jesus right there and then

for this little blue eyed angel in my life.

When we pray, we always start

off by thanking God by name for our family

members. Hudson repeats "mama"

over and over again during the prayer.

I.love.him.more.than.words.can.say.

Then when I hear their little

amen's at the end....ahhhhhhh...

just melts my heart into a puddle.

(Even though Daddy & Walker say

"TAMANA" for amen because that's

how it sounded when Walker's little prayer

bear said it when he was itty bitty.)

There just couldn't be a more

precious time during my day

than these few moments when we pray.

I don't think it a coincidence that

this just happened to be the night

before Travis had a very important

swallow study test. Two

little kindred spirits. :)

Lord, please instill in my children a

soul with a craving for You,

a heart that clings passionately to You.

(Psalm 63:8)

I had NO idea this was going on

in the back seat of my car

on the drive home from school

one day. I guess Hunter had his

music playing too loud for me

to know there was a "photo

shoot" with my phone taking place...

I do not dish out the LOL's...

I reserve "LOL" for when I

TRULY do laugh outloud.

Hadlee is by nature very shy.

Lately, my family has noticed that

she is "coming out of her shell"

the big boys are away,

but we also miss them SO MUCH!

hearing all this talk about a hunting

trip with Daddy & Walker.

My mom put me in Walker's old

Celebrating Trav's 23rd :)

Trav's 23rd Birthday was January 5th.

It fell on a Thursday this year.

So, there he was all alone three & a half

hours away in San Antonio. :(

NOT for LONG!!!!!!!!!!!

We couldn't stand that thought...

Wonderful Wendell drove Lynna, Hadlee,

Hudson, and I to surprise him!!!

(Walker was leaving on a

hunting trip with daddy)

When we came down the hall and

around the corner, Travis was sitting

on the side of his bed. Lynna

got to go in first.....

(she is his mother I suppose!)

He had REALLY been having a rough

week and this was SUCH a surprise!!! :)

He was so happy that we were there...

especially for his little kindred spirit!

We asked him if he thought he

would be alone all day and he

shook his head "yes"! :(

God BLESS his Heart!

We had fun watching him

open his presents...

My heart was SO full that day.

I was just SO incredibly thankful

to be there with Travis on his day!

Something Hadlee had made for him...

We got him some hard to find

DVDs he has been wanting!

He was laughing over some

of Grandmother and PaPa's funny

gifts! Grandmother had wanted

to come, but I took her spot in the car! ;(

Our card sang a fun song AND

it had a recording from the STORM!!!

He especially liked that! :)

His mama had him some great gifts!

He and his HUGE feet go through

lots of tennis shoes with all of his

hard work in therapy!

Travis had one more therapy session ~

so we went outside while they got him going...

After some outside fun,

we got to go to his occupational

therapy where he was doing AWESOME!

RIOSA survived the storm one more time!;)

Travis really wanted to get OUT for a while

so we asked him if he'd want to go

somewhere so we could eat.
His counselors at CNS really

encouraged us to take Travis to eat

AND to eat in front of him because

he quite possibly may be like this for

the rest of his life and he needs to be

accustomed to it. Well, that is
TERRIBLY hard for us.

But he said he really didn't mind

and so we took him.

It's a sucker punch I won't lie...

first of all taking him anywhere.

I really never knew or stopped

much to think about (other than to

feel sorry) for people in wheel chairs

or for people helping those in

wheel chairs. It's just such a life

change. It's not like we've dealt

with this all of his life......

this.is.all.new.

AND it's hard. :(

The waiter asking Travis what he

wanted to drink and having to answer

for him broke my heart.

Life can be really tough.

How people make it without

God, I do NOT even have a clue.

ANyWaYS...we told the waiter

it was his birthday and it was

fun for them to sing to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't he look amazing?

Nobody can realize the depth of what this kid

goes through because his looks and the
words he types are so deceiving.

He.is.Amazing.
(His sweet mom gave him a few sips
of coke while we were there. He
said that's what he wants so bad...
just a drink:( Such a miracle in
of itself that he is now able
to swallow - with much concentration
and work - some sips of a drink.
She didn't give him enough to affect
him if it went down the wrong way
which most likely it did).

We LOVED eVeRY single SEcoND

of celebrating Superman's 23rd

Birthday with him!!!!!!!!!!

We celebrated his 22nd birthday
at Texas Neuro with him

and now his 23rd at RIOSA.

His 24th.......hopefully at home!!!

Good Lord willing he might possibly be

able to eat or drink something...

maybe whisper a word...

maybe walk???

Or maybe none of those things.

We will LOVE & SUPPORT him

no matter what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jr. high experience. BY FAR!

And probably for many of my friends, too.

I never knew true love until that

very moment when I saw him for

the first time minutes after he was born.
A miracle then...

And even more of a miracle now...

New Year's Day is extra special in our family...

and not just because it's the
first day of a new year.

BUT because it's my beautiful middle

sister's birthday. First baby born in

Waco in 1965! :)

We also celebrated Baylor being in the

Alamo Bowl!!! I get to wear my

he fell asleep really early

We watched Christmas Vacation,

Christmas Day 2011

I've never known anything more true in my life...

Obviously:)

God truly is WITH us through it alllllllllll....

It does my heart and soul so much good

to see Macy & Travis together.

I myself grew up with these two...

There is nothing quite like all of us

being together at my parents' house for

a holiday. While it is VERY different from

how it used to be; it is FAR better than last year.

That's when we spent Christmas

Day at Texas Neuro Hospital in Austin.

At that time Travis was barely

awake and was just beginning to

hold his head up on his own.

It is beyond words to behold a

miracle in your very own life.

When we join hands and pray as

a family on Christmas Day,

our hearts are so grateful that we can

hardly form the words for the prayer.

My mother makes the most wonderful

Christmas meal EVER ever EVER.

It breaks our hearts that Travis

can't eat with us. We take turns

eating so he is not left out.

He loved my mother's cooking

so, so much. :((((((

We certainly have extra rolls now. ;(

After lunch, we opened presents!

Grandmother & PaPa came through

with the main thing Huds wanted...

Hudson had to show Travis:)

With the grandkids being older,

it's kinda the Walker, Hadlee, Hudson

gift opening show at first! ;)

My dad is THE hardest person to buy for...

he never wants for anything.

This year he told us he wanted

a Baylor coat. My sisters and I

were so excited to get him this!!!

A few months ago Grandmother was with

Travis at CNS and he chose "Hangover"

for them to watch. My mother wasn't much

of a fan of that particular movie,

but she watched it with him anyways!

How hilarious that she got him

"Hangover II" for Christmas! ;)))

Uncle Wendell came through in a BIG

way spoiling my kids ROTTEN!!!

Grandmother got Hudson

as he opened them, he HAD

to put them on!!!

Of course Aunt Lynna hooked

robbing Bush's Chicken since it

kinda looked like a chicken;)

The Merritts spend Christmas in Dallas

with Patric now since they want

to be in their own home for Santa.

They left money for all the kids...

I tend to go overboard shopping for Christmas

every year. I always tell myself that we aren't

going to do as much, but oops...

I always forget. ;) I do love the idea

of the "three gifts", but it just didn't

happen this year.

I love buying for others...

especially my own babies!

AND, T-Daddy knows how I am

and always plans for me to go

crazy so we never go in debt

because of Christmas. AND....

most importantly, I have no doubt

that my children KNOW, LOVE

and HONOR the true meaning

of Christmas. My three are

grateful, appreciative and love

to give and get;) I was spoiled

rottenly sweet growing up myself,

so it's all good! :)

Then it was BACK to Waco

for Christmas EVE evening;)

Unfortunately Troy's sweet mom was

still in the hospital from her back

surgery...in fact, she still can't walk today.

(But getting more feeling...thank you, Lord!).

SO that evening we took pizza and gifts

to see Mamaw at Hillcrest!!!!!!!

God bless her heart! She's been through

SO much here lately. We love

Mamaw like CRaZY!!!

Gifts from Mamaw...

It's nothing for my kids to be in a

hospital :( ...don't really know if that's

a good thing or a bad thing?!?

Hopefully they will ALWAYS

have a heart for those that are sick.

Legos for ALL! :)

Then it was back home and we let

the kids each pick one present

from under the tree to open ....

Finally, it was all kids to bed (in our bed...

a Christmas tradition) but not without

a sweet prayer thanking God for Jesus

and the precious birth of Jesus;

and thanks for ALLLLLL

of our many, many blessings; and

of course healing prayers for

Travis and Mamaw.

I am grateful for a school that allows us

to work together to help students

with special needs.

This precious little student;) got an ear

infection and had to miss out on going to

Mrs. Janice's right before the holiday. :(

He came with mommy to school instead!

Walker & Hadlee's Christmas parties

ended up being at the same EXACT time.

And guess who was in charge of

both parties?!? Their room moms.

And guess who their room moms are?

Yours truly!!! ;)

I literally started Walker's party

and then ran down the stairs to start

Hadlee's party and then went back

and forth up and down the stairs

for one solid hour! It all worked out

and it turned out to be quite humorous!

Thankfully, I have sweet mom friends

in both classes who helped me!!!

celebrate Christmas with my

handsome THIRD GRADER...

...and his sweet class!

at South Bosque at least until

Hadlee is in the third grade!

Oh and for Hudson, too!!! ;)

Putting on these two parties took quite a bit

of work and I am VERY thankful

for willing parents who helped me beforehand

and especially during the parties since

they were at the same time

which was like a work-out...

but well worth it and FUN! :)

I love being all things mommy

On December 20th...believe it or not...

we celebrated my beautiful sistah's

50th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had circumstances been different,

I'm sure we would have had more of a

par~TAY for her. But without one of

her main men not being able to be there:(...

we just opted for a fun dinner out.

And it was JUST that...

VeRY FuN!

My Hunter B keeps me so hip ;)))

Mary Lynna is something else, I tell ya!
She is very outwardly beautiful

and always has been (even at birth...

my mother has confessed that Lynna

was the prettiest baby!!! ha!).

But Lynna is JUST as BEAUTIFUL

on the inside. She LOVES everyone

and makes friends with EVERYONE

she comes into contact with. Seriously!

Lynna is funny, generous,

honest, vain (ha!),

and truly an AMAZING person.

Being thirteen years younger than Lynna,

we have always had a very special

relationship. Lynna has mothered me

my entire life. I've always been her

baby. She taught me EARLY on to

always be nice to EVERYONE

no matter what. I took that lesson of

hers to heart and it's made a

difference in my life.

I love my gorgeous, hilarious,

fun-loving sister with all of my heart!

In the first days after Trav's accident,

people were showing up at the hospital

and I'd ask how they knew Lynna.

"I met her at Souper Salad."

"I met her at Dillards."

"I met her at Luby's and we

became friends and started eating

together every week."

I'm not kidding!!!

I couldn't believe when I found these napkins.

Lynna is SO fun, foxy & now fifty!!!

I know I shouldn't pray such a vain thing...

but dear Lord, please let me look half as

good as my sistah when I'm 50!!! (;

I couldn't help but ask my dad what it

felt like to have a daughter who is 50?!?!?!?!?!

Lynna is SO LOVED by SO MANY!

And loved MOST OF ALL by her

two handsome and sweet sons...

This gorgeous sister of mine has had some

tough times in her life and she is so

very strong. Her very best friend that she

grew up with and had moved to another town

with and married friends was murdered

by the man she had married

(a friend to Lynna and Scott).

Her other childhood best friend

died from a horrible disease.

Lynna fought with all of her heart

to save her first marriage to a

really good man but one that had

made some major mistakes.

And now...well, this is the

ultimate. She is living a

mother's nightmare...

but with GRACE and FAITH

and INSPIRATION.

I am so proud of and so

thankful for my fun, foxy

and fifty year old sister.

She is not just my big sister...

but also a mother

AND a best friend all in one! :)
